If you're located in Pettis County, follow this link to the online marriage license application. To complete the application you'll need each of the following from both parties:

• Social Security Card

• Ceremony Date

• Names & Addresses

• Email Address

• Birth Place

• Phone Number

• Education Information

"Both Parties must appear together in the Recorder’s Office after the completion of this online application to finalize the issuance of the Marriage License. You must call the office 660-826-5000, Ext. 922 to make an appointment.

Marriage Application fee is $60.00 (includes one certified copy of license). We accept cash (No $100 dollar bills) or credit/debit cards (there will be a $2.00 convenience charge for use of credit/debit card). Fee must be paid at the time of the Marriage License issuance.

Give the license to the person performing the ceremony before the wedding.

The State of Missouri requires the ceremony to be performed within 30 days from the date of the Marriage License issuance."
